Privacy Policy

Mind the Lane does not require an account. Gameplay history and household profiles stay on your device. Apple and RevenueCat process information needed to provide optional Plus purchases.
Gameplay and purchase information
We do not operate a gameplay backend or send your run history, local profile names, or memory-practice results to RevenueCat. We do not use an advertising SDK or send advertising identifiers. RevenueCat provides purchase validation, entitlement management, hosted purchase screens, and subscription reporting. Its SDK can contact RevenueCat when the app opens, including before you make a purchase.
On-device data
Everything the game remembers is stored locally on your iPhone using Apple's on-device storage frameworks (SwiftData and AppStorage). This includes:
- Scores and session history — your runs, gates cleared, and results.
- Streaks and freeze inventory — your no-guilt streak state and banked freezes.
- Working-memory metrics — your Lane Recall Score and span progress, measured only against your own past runs.
- Household profiles — the separate profiles and private histories you create for people at home.
- Preferences — settings such as audio and haptic cue options, and your optional reminder time.
- A local progress backup — a small file in the app's private storage that mirrors your streak and best scores so they survive a corrupted settings database. It never leaves your device.
This gameplay data stays on your device. Home-screen widgets read a shared on-device container containing counts and an avatar identifier, without local profile names. If you delete the app, this data is removed with it. Any report or family PDF the app generates is created on-device from this local data; we never receive a copy.
Optional daily reminder
The app can show one local notification a day at a time you choose. It is off until you tap "Remind me" after a run or switch it on in Settings; only then does iOS ask for notification permission. The reminder is scheduled on your device by iOS. It is not a push notification, no token or identifier is sent anywhere, and you can turn it off in the app's Settings or in iOS Settings at any time.
Purchases and RevenueCat
Apple processes payments, subscriptions, and renewals. RevenueCat processes an app-generated anonymous purchase identifier, transaction and entitlement information, and technical information such as app/device versions, network information, and last-seen activity to operate and report on purchases. We can view purchase and subscription status in RevenueCat. The app does not give RevenueCat your local profile names or gameplay history. We do not receive your payment-card details or Apple Account password.
Deleting the app does not itself cancel a subscription or erase records held by Apple or RevenueCat. Manage subscriptions through your Apple Account settings. Contact us about purchase-data access or deletion requests; provider retention and legal requirements may apply. See RevenueCat's privacy policy and Apple's privacy policy.
Game Center and advertising
Game Center is disabled in this release. We do not sell personal information or use purchase information for targeted advertising or tracking across other apps and websites.
Children
Mind the Lane is intended for a general audience and is not directed to children under 13 or the applicable minimum age in their country. Local household profiles are not online accounts. A parent or guardian should supervise purchases and information shared outside the app.
Changes to this policy
If we ever change how the app handles data, we will update this page and revise the "Last updated" date above. Material changes will be reflected here before they take effect in a new version of the app.
